Power restored to Sandy Bay and Battery Point
TasNetworks crews have restored power to about 4,200 properties in inner Hobart. Crews remain on the Eastern Shore.
Bridgewater Bridge open in both directions
Police have cleared the Bridgewater Bridge after a fallen tree closed the southbound lane for two hours.
Damaging wind warning extended to the north-east
The Bureau has extended the damaging wind warning to include the Furneaux Group and the lower Tamar. Gusts of up to 110 km/h forecast overnight.
Devonport ferry departure delayed
The Spirit of Tasmania's evening sailing has been put back by ninety minutes due to sea conditions in Bass Strait.
First outages reported in the Huon Valley
TasNetworks has logged 1,800 properties without power across Huonville, Cygnet and Geeveston. Estimated restoration: 10pm tonight.
Cold front crosses the west coast
The front is moving east at about 60 km/h. Strahan recorded a 95 km/h gust at 4:42pm. The Bureau has issued a damaging wind warning for southern and central Tasmania.
